We discovered diversity at the Hamilton Zoo........


As we explored the animals we learnt about classification, were they birds, mammals or reptiles? What kind of coverings did they have?

                                                                                                                             

A mammal has hair or fur

It is warm blooded.

It feeds its babies milk

A tiger is a mammal

     

We wrote some very clever "What am I?" riddles,and we shared them at our school hui.    Can you guess what they are?

My animal has a blue
tongue.
It is a reptile. It has scaly skin

 It likes to stay still.

It eats insects.

Its tongue can stretch a long way.

What is it?
